InterNiche Technologies is seeking a Protocol Development Engineer for its Campbell, CA location to help the existing staff develop, enhance and support its modular suite of embedded TCP-related protocols and applications. Focusing on RFC conformance and limited footprint, we are enhancing our team of developers with an engineer who appreciates the challenges of memory-constrained environments and has experience with complex communications systems.

In addition to obvious technical experience and communication skills, we will consider the following when making our selection.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in "C" (while C++, C# and Java are perfectly nice languages, our code is written in ANSI "C")
• Have written your fair share of BSD Sockets programs
• Conversant in "RFC"
• Understand that many people still measure memory in "K-bytes"
• Know the value and proper use of a "link map"
• Can explain big-endian and little-endian without looking it up in Wikipedia
• Self-motivated and willing to work 5 days per week in a comfortable, low-stress environment
• Know what is meant by many or most of the following: Ethernet; TCP/IP; IPv6; SNMP; HTTP; SNTP; SMTP; POP3; IPSec; IKE; RTP; RTCP; PPP; SSH; SSL; TLS; IGMP.
