InterNiche Network Integration Kit for Phytec's phyCORE-ARM7/LPC (Philips 2294 CPU)
This is the ReadMe file detailing how to download a binary demo of the Interniche NicheStack TCP/IP Stack, FTP Server, WebServer and HTML DEMO on the Phytec PCM-023 ARM-7 based Evaluation Board using Keil's uVision Development tools for ARM, version 3.12A.
The files needed to start the Keil uVision software and download the binary image are all contained in a single .ZIP file, available through a link on this page.
The board needs to be connected to the PC running the Keil toolset via the Keil ULINK JTAG device. This binary was tested with a USB based JTAG, however other ARM-7 & Keil compatible JTAGS may also work.
- Copy the entire Demo directory tree onto your Local Hard Disk before you evaluate the demo. This is necessary since the Keil IDE will create some temporary files and directories on you Local Hard Disk inside this Demo directory.
- In the Demo directory, you will find a Keil Project file called easyweb.uv2. Double click on this file to open the project.
- Once the project is open, click on the "Start/Stop debug session" button. This button has an icon of a magnifying glass with a red "d" inside it.
- Assuming your hardware is working, the Keil IDE will write the binary image to the board's flash. You should see a blue "progress" bar on the bottom of the Keil IDE screen. This bar will move left to right several times during the download.
- If the download hangs, disconnect the USB cable from the ULINK deviceand exit the uVision software. Then hook everything back up and try again. If you forget to disconnect the USB cable you may be unable to exit the Keil software.
- Click on the RUN button (icon with down arrow) in the uVision IDE.
- The Demo should start executing at this point. If you have attached a console to the Phytec Board's first UART (upper right connector) you will see initialization messages.
IP Address of the station is configured to 10.0.0.192. The subnet mask is configured to 255.0.0.0 and the gateway to 0.0.0.0.
If you have another PC on the network that is configured with a similar subnet mask and with a 10.0.0.X IP Address, you should be able to:
- Browse the webserver at http://10.0.0.192. For Authenticated webpages enter the username "guest" and password "guest".
- FTP into the FTP server with username "guest" and password "guest".
- To view the Dynamic Operation of NicheStack and the various Applications using the HTML Demo and Profiler at http://10.0.0.192, select the "Network Data" link and "CPU Profile" submenu button.
- Execute any of the Webport commands from the INET> prompt through the serial port. Type 'help' for a list of available commands.
IMPORTANT: Please note that this executable is a time limited demo and will shut itself off after 1 hr.

Trouble Shooting

If you are unable to access the demo, please check the following:
- That the entire Demo directory has been copied over to your Hard Disk, and that the uVision Project file that you are executing is the correct one on your Hard Disk.
- That the you are using a 10 Megabit Ethernet (the board does not support 100 Megabits!) and the Ethernet and serial cable connections to your PC are fine.
- Please make sure that your PC configuration is as follows:
IP Address : 10.0.0.192
Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0
Gateway : 0.0.0.0
Serial port: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop, no flow control
- That all Jumpers and DIP Switches are in their default positions.
- There is no other device on the network with an IP address of 10.0.0.192.
